This Thanksgiving week has been amazing.
Tuesday I finally got my new phone, my BlackBerry Bold 9900, the new touch screen bold that RIM released earlier this year. Hours after getting my phone I spent my night having a feast with brothers from all over the Dallas-Ft. Worth area during our annual Brothers' Thanksgiving Potluck and had brothers from as far as California fly in for the event.
Following that, A
kisha and I camped outside of Best Buy at 9:30pm to experience her first black Friday! It ended up being like 20-30 degrees outside and there were random people selling hot chocolate and coffee too! It was definitely an awesome experience as always for me, but Akisha claims she will never participate in the madness again.
Saturday, I was lucky enough to get my hands on some Texas Tech vs Baylor tickets and attend my first college football game. Actually this was the first football game I have had the opportunity to attend since playing in the band during football games during high school, and it was amazing. What topped that off was that there were even more were the amazing goal line seats in the second row behind the Baylor end zone. The game was amazing with a complete lack of defense with the exception of a few plays. Robert Griffin III was played outstanding and so did Texas Tech for the first half but during the last drive RG3 was knocked out and was benched for the rest of the game. At this point it was still a close game but as soon as the half was over Tech made a few mistakes and Baylor showed up with some defense and the game became a bit more one sided. Overall though the game was fun and that atmosphere at college games with the bands, the mascots, and alumni with money on the line made it one of best games I've watched in a while. Hell, even the mascots had an entertaining duel and Cowboy's Margaritas didn't hurt either! Below are some pics I took of the the game
